General Program Questions

No, we work with students from a lot of different counties.

Yes, however, there aren’t any other programs specific to “foster youth”. Depending on your situation, you may qualify for one of our other CAASE programs.  

If you are still in an active form of foster care (i.e., guardianship or kinship, etc.) you can ask your social worker for a verification letter. If not, we can help you with the next steps.

Yes! At any time during your enrollment at Sonoma State, you can apply to be a part of the Seawolf Scholars program.

Reach out to our Seawolf Scholars Manager, Shelly. She would be happy to help you. 

Within the next week or so, our manager will review your application and get back to you to ask for any follow-up information or documentation. 

Yes! Our team will work with you to gather the required documents.

Seawolf Scholars have a dedicated Academic advisor that provides holistic advising throughout your SSU journey.  We offer guaranteed on-campus housing, priority class registration, free school supplies, community building events, scholarship assistance, critical needs, and emergency aid funding.
