I have been placed on Academic Probation, what happens next?

If you have been placed on academic probation, please set up an advising meeting with your Seawolf Scholars Advisor to support you in creating an academic plan to get off Academic Probation.

How does our Seawolf Scholars program support our students on Academic Probation?

Our Seawolf Scholars Program has developed an Academic Probation Plan to help our students build academic skills in studying, note-taking, and organization that strengthen their academic endurance. Students should schedule an advising appointment as soon as possible to begin bi-weekly check-ins to build a personalized plan.

How do you know if you are on academic probation?

  • You are placed on academic probation when your cumulative OR SSU GPA falls below a 2.0.
  • You can be removed from academic probation after you have a cumulative GPA and your SSU GPA has been raised to 2.0 or better.
