I have been notified that I am placed on Financial Aid Disqualification. How do I pay for school now?
If you have been placed on Financial Aid Disqualification, please meet with your Seawolf Scholars Advisor as soon as possible. They will help you navigate the Satisfactory Academic Progress appeal process or other available options.
- You can find the Satisfactory Appeal Progress appeal form in your MyFA Forms in your MySSU portal.
- An SAP appeal can be made if the student has extenuating circumstances that seriously affect their academic performance.
- Please review the list of extenuating circumstances that is provided on our Satisfactory Academic Progress Page.
- A SAP appeal includes:
- A personal statement that includes the extenuating circumstances for all semesters in which a 2.0 was not met
- What has changed to ensure the student will meet SAP standards
- An academic plan that the student will follow to maintain a 2.0 in the future.
