I received a Financial Aid warning, what does this mean?

When a student receives a financial aid warning, it means that they have not met their SAP requirements.
What is SAP? SAP is a student's Satisfactory Academic Progress. It is required that a student receiving financial aid meet the following requirements to receive their aid package. For a student to receive their aid package they must meet each of the major components:

  1. Pace Standard (Pass Rate): Complete a minimum percentage of their cumulative units. Undergraduates need to complete 67% of the cumulative units attempted.
  2. Graduate students need to complete 70% of the cumulative units attempted.
  3. Maximum Time Frame Standard: Complete a degree program within 150% of the units of the degree.
  4. GPA standard: meet the minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students 3.0 or above for graduate students
